A 5 day trip of a lifetime to see the Grand Départ of the Tour de France in Barcelona. Combine the exciting start of the biggest bike race in the world with a local exploration of the best of Catalan culinary and cycling culture. Stay in a beautiful villa just outside of Barcelona and taste the delights of the local region with this tour.

Tour de France 2026: Grand Depart Barcelona Tour
Thursday – Arrival
- Check in to the villa, get your bike fit and spin out the legs on a quick leg stretcher ride with a refreshment stop in the Catalan countryside.
- Then start getting excited for the Tour with the Grand Depart Team Presentation in front of Gaudi’s famous Sagrada Familia in the center of Barcelona.
- Follow the team presentation with an exclusive rooftop terrace welcome dinner and drinks event where you will be able to get to know the other guests on the trip.


Friday – The Queen Stage
- Leave the villa early after a hearty breakfast to take on our very own Queen Stage where you’ll ride the most exciting parts of Stage 2 of the Tour de France in and around Barcelona.
- The ride even includes a fun challenge on the ‘Col de Begues’ – what’s the best time you can set for the pros to beat on Sunday?!
- The route then weaves through the beautiful Barcelona countryside and goes up to Tibidabo where we’ll climb up for amazing views over the city and the Med.
- That evening you’ll enjoy an evening BBQ back at the villa with the chance to relax before a big ride the next morning.
Saturday – The Mighty Montserrat
- Take on one of the best climbs in the Barcelona area with a ride out to the famous Montserrat mountain.
- Get a transfer back to the villa for a quick lunch and freshen up. Then head into the city to visit the Tour de France Fan Park and see the best teams starting off the Team Time Trial on the urban route weaving through the centre of beautiful Barcelona.
- Saturday night is all about local delicacies with a ‘Tast d’ Catalunya’ meal where you’ll get the chance to enjoy the best that Catalunya has to offer with traditional meal, local wine and some of the infamous Catalan cava.


Sunday – The Tour de Barcelona
- An early start for a local loop with a ‘special guest’ of ‘Rat Penat, an infamous local climb that will really get the legs going!
- Then it’s time to see the pros do their thing as they take on the route that you’ll have powered through on Friday! You’ll see the Tour peloton fly through the vineyards of Olesa de Bonesvalls.
- The evening will include a private paella workshop with a bit of a party with plentiful local delights including local beers, Catalan cava and top quality regional wines.
Monday – Depart
- A more leisurely start for the final breakfast and then squeeze in one final, fun coffee ride in the local Catalan countryside (optional).
- Spend some time chilling by the pool at the villa before having a leaving lunch of local healthy food to fully prepare you for your journeys back home.
- Say goodbye to your new Tour buddies and the sunny Spanish villa before getting your transfer back to the airport and telling all your friends about what a wonderful time you had with Wanderlist Tours! 😉
